Embro Fair 2014

"Fun With Games"

September 12 - 14, 2014

2013-2014 Fair Ambassador

2013 - 2014 Embro Fair Ambassador Alexis Kramer

Fun and Games! Embro is the definition of small town fun and games when we come together. So I encourage all neighbours, friends and guests to explore what we have to offer at this year’s fair! We are so fortunate to live in a small but mighty community. I am so proud to have represented such an amazing group of people full of committed volunteers who are constantly bettering the community and providing
opportunities for everyone else to enjoy.

As the 2013-2014 Fair Ambassador I have had so many amazing opportunities to further my involvement in the community. I had the pleasure of participating in various events throughout the year such as the Annual Fish Fry, Woodstock Santa Claus Parade, the fall and spring District Ambassador competition. Without the support of my sponsor Knox United Church, my family, friends and community, I wouldn’t have had this opportunity and I couldn’t be more thankful. It has given me a sense of responsibility in my community and in my own life. I’ve seen firsthand how much support and volunteers it takes to make these events and the fair possible. Without their willingness to dedicate their own time and energy none of it would be possible.

I will forever cherish the memories and friends I have made as the Embro Fair Ambassdor this year. Having this role in my community and the fair has shown me the importance and influence young people can have if you just step up and raise your voice. This experience has taught me lessons and given me opportunities that I will keep with me wherever life takes me next. I recommend this experience to everyone who is eligible to run because it is such a rewarding opportunity that can only bring good things to you and gives you even more pride in the wonderful community we live in. I wish the best of luck to all the competitors this year; I know it’s an experience you’ll never forget!
